Executive MBA Tuition & Financing

Tuition for the MBA for Executives for Fall 2012 is $89,500 (All Inclusive): Four equal payments of $22,375 due and payable at the beginning of each semester.

This all inclusive fee covers:

  • Tuition
  • Books, course readers, case studies
  • Parking in campus parking lots for each class
  • Meals: Breakfast, lunch and snacks
  • Networking Events
  • * AGI (Academic Global Immersions)  
  • Free membership to Koret Health Care Center
  • Student discounts for Koret Health Care Center services, including personal training
  • Executive retreat (board and lodging)

* Airfare for international trip not included, some meals also not included

Financing Options Overview

 There are several ways that MBAE students at USF have historically financed their graduate degree:
1. Corporate sponsorship: Your employer agrees to pay for all or part of your education in exchange for you remaining employed
at the company for a certain number years post-graduation.
2. Tuition reimbursement: According to your company’s tuition reimbursement policy, you pay for your education out-of-pocket
and subsequently file for reimbursement.
3. Non USF-based Scholarships: Scholarships from various organizations are available. USF scholarships are reserved for full-time
MBA students.
4. Federal loans: Federal Direct Student Loans for all graduate students are available for up to $20,500 per fiscal school year, regardless of income level and
credit rating*. Repayment begins six months after graduation.
5. Graduate PLUS loans: These federal loans are based on income level and credit rating, up to the difference between the tuition cost and the Federal Direct Student Loan. Repayment begins immediately; deferments are available.
6. Various private loans: Lenders can include banks, credit union, relatives, friends, etc.

  • Each cohort runs over a period of four semesters for a total of 50 units.
  • The all-inclusive cost for the August (fall) cohort is $89,500.
  • The total Federal Direct Student Loan available for the MBAE programs is $41,000 ($20,500 per fiscal school year).

Apply for a Federal Direct Student Loan

To apply for a Federal Direct Student Loan, go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and have the following information on hand:
1. Obtain a PIN number by going to www.pin.ed.gov (this can take up to 5 business days).
2. AGI (adjusted gross income) from your 2010 tax return OR an estimate of your 2010 AGI.
3. The University of San Francisco school code is 0001325.
4. User ID and password. Access the USF Connect website at www.connect.usfca.edu so that you can receive your FAFSA application notices. You will receive this information by mail within 5 days after being accepted into the MBAE program. If you do not have this information, call ITS at 415-422-6668 for help resetting your password. You will need to provide your student ID and birth date (DD-MM-YYYY). It takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes to fill out the application. Processing time is 4 to 5 weeks from submission.
To expedite processing, begin filling out a FAFSA application prior to acceptance into the MBAE program.

Apply for a Graduate PLUS Loan

1. After you have been notified of your Federal student loan eligibility by the Financial Aid office, you may consider applying
for additional loan funds through the credit-based Federal Graduate PLUS loan. If interested, apply using the Graduate PLUS loan application available at www.usfca.edu/onestopforms.
2. Fax the completed form to the One Stop office at 415-422-6084. You will be notified by the Federal Direct loan program if the application is credit approved or denied. If approved, visit the Financial Aid Status section of your USFConnect account
for instructions on completing a PLUS loan Promissory note and PLUS loan entrance counseling workshop.

General Billing and Payment Information

1. Tuition bills are available online only at www.connect.usfca.edu.
2. The first semetser tuition is due in full (minus the non-refundable $1,000 deposit to hold your seat):

  • Fall Cohort: Upon registration or on 9/1/12, whichever date is earlier.

3. Monthly payment plan agreements are available for a processing fee.
