Senior Military Science Instructor

Raised in Galveston, Texas, MSG Coleman enlisted in August 1986 and attended Basic Infantryman Course One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, GA. His assignments have included FT Clayton Panama x2, FT Campbell KY x2, Camp Jackson Korea and FT Drum NY, as well as deployments to Kosovo, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan x4. He is married to Nancy Coleman and they have 3 sons and 2 daughters. He joined the Dons Battalion in AUG 2012.

Rebekah Dibble

Rebekah Dibble received her PhD in Management from UC Irvine in 2010 and completed a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2011, prior to joining the School of Management as an assistant professor. Her current research focuses on adjustment processes in cross-cultural teams and collaborations, the theoretical implications of boundary fluidity in teams, and the implications of global mindset for global leader effectiveness and cross-cultural team performance.

A native of Portland, Oregon, Maj. Shawn Dodge graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Political Science. He was branch detailed Armor from the Military Intelligence branch. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Washington. Maj. Dodge was awarded the Army Athlete of the Year in 2008 for his distance running abilities. He is married and has two sons and a daughter. He arrived at USF in May of 2011.

Alex Fan

Assistant Professor of Military Science

A native of San Diego, CA, Alex Fan enlisted in the Army National Guard in October 2006 and attended 19K M1A1 Armor Crewman One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Knox, KY. In May, 2012, he graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BS in Finance and received his commission as a Second Lieutenant through the University of San Francisco ROTC program. 2LT Fan is assigned to the 118th Maintenance Company in Stockton as an Ordinance Officer in the California National Guard; he joined the Dons Battalion in his new role as a cadre member and training officer in December of 2012.

Kathleen spent over 30 years in the nonprofit sector as a consultant in board governance, strategic planning, fundraising, and program evaluation. She is now a term faculty member, teaching courses in nonprofit management in the MNA, MBA, and Public Administration programs.

Jean-Marc was an Instructor at the California Culinary Academy where he taught classes and operated a restaurant specializing in whole foods and healthy cuisine. Former President Bill Clinton has even recognized Jean-Marc's expertise in healthful cooking. He has been a Guest Chef at the White House and had the honor of making three presentations on low-fat cooking in the White House and prepared dinner for President Clinton.

Professor Stephen J. Huxley's achievements in academia have been recognized and lauded by many different organizations. Notably, he is the recipient of the Sarlo Prize, the highest award bestowed by USF to a single faculty member. In addition to the Sarlo Prize, Stephen has received the School of Management Outstanding Teacher Award five times, the Outstanding Service Award four times and the Outstanding Faculty Research Award. He was the winner of the 17th Annual International Franz Edelman Competition for Management Science Achievement, the highest award given by the profession.

Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Inglin graduated from the United States Military Academy (USMA) in 1993 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace). After eight years as an Army Aviation Officer, he earned an M.A. in Communication from the University of Maryland and has served as a Public Affairs Officer since 2002. His assignments have included postings to Kentucky, Hawaii, Virginia, Texas, and Germany, as well as deployment tours to Iraq and Afghanistan. A native of Tacoma, Washington, he is married to Shae Inglin and they have two sons.

Kevin Lo

Kevin, a native of Hawaii, completed his undergraduate studies in East Asian Studies (China Track) as well as Comparative Literature (English and Chinese) at Brown University. Following his first round of graduate studies at USF, he completed the doctoral program in International Management at the University of Hawaii. In addition, Kevin has studied in Taipei and Beijing. His research has focused on cross-cultural communication and interpersonal networks as well as on differing conceptions of time across cultures. Executive Officer

Captain Sarah Solli graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2003 with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering. She has served nine years as a Preventive Medicine Officer in the Medical Service Corps. Her assignments include postings in New York, Texas, Japan, Washington D.C., Washington State, Florida, and now California. A native of Miami, she stems from a military family. Her father was an Air Force F-4 pilot with three tours in Vietnam; her mother served in the Air Force as an adjutant; and her grandfather, a Pearl Harbor survivor, navigated B-25s in WWII.

Nicholas Tay

Professor

Nicholas Tay, Ph.D. is a professor of finance in the School of Management at the University of San Francisco. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Asia Business Studies (Emerald Publishing) and was this journal former editor-in-chief. He has recently served as the guest editor for the Chinese Economy (M.E. Sharpe) and the International Review of Economics and Finance (Elsevier Science). His research is well cited and his work has appeared in leading academic journals including Management Science, Financial Management, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Economics Letters, Journal of Business Research, IEEE Intelligence System, Open Economies Review, and International Review of Economics and Finance among others.

John Veitch

He has been a visiting faculty member in the business schools at UC Berkeley and UC Irvine. Prof. Veitch is the Director of Education for the CFA Society of San Francisco.

Richard Waters

Assistant Professor

Richard D Waters (Ph.D., 2007, University of Florida) is an assistant professor in the Department of Public and Nonprofit Administration. A former fundraiser and public relations practitioner, he teaches courses on strategic communication and fundraising in the School of Management. Waters has an active research agenda which examines the management of relationships between organizations and their stakeholders, the theory behind and process of fundraising, and the impact of new communication technologies on organizational messaging.

Michael Webber

Dean

Professor Michael J. Webber has been serving the University in an administrative capacity since 2003 and was recently appointed Dean of the School of Management. Mike received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He also earned an M.Sc. in Industrial Relations from the University of Wales, Cardiff and a B.Sc.(Econ) in Politics and History from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. His research and teaching has been mainly in the area of political sociology but he has also taught courses on sociological theory, nationalism and social movements and revolution.
