Mario Duarte, BSBE '06

"In the past, I had heavily relied on my technical skills for career advancement. I needed to compliment my technical skills with a sound business foundation. My degree in Applied Economics (now, Business Economics) helped me to achieve such a goal by building a business foundation based on economic fundamentals. The program helped me to differentiate myself from the rest of my IT peers. As a result, I have catapulted from a senior engineer position to a director position in less than a year."
