Nonprofit Spotlight

Raphael House

Raphael House's mission is to help at-risk families achieve stable housing and financial independence while strengthening family bonds and personal dignity. Raphael House was the first family shelter in Northern California and has had over 40 years of success in moving homeless families from crisis to stability.

Virtually every aspect of life at Raphael House depends upon the much needed support of our volunteers. Each year more than 2,000 Raphael House volunteers help bring love and warmth to Bay Area families by preparing meals, tutoring children, serving on various committees, or as a member of the Board of Directors.

If you would like to make a difference, Raphael House has both short- and long-term volunteer opportunities, and there are many ways to get involved for both individuals and groups.
