Group Study Rooms

We are unable to accept reservations by phone or more than one day in advance.

Group study rooms are for student use only; rooms are not available to law students; if you are a law student, please use the study rooms available in the Doraine Zief Law Library.

In order to provide fair access and use to students on campus, the following policies apply:

  1. Reservations must be made in person at the Circulation Service desk at the entrance of the library. A USF ID must be shown. Group Study Room reservations are a library service and require a library card.
  2. Reservations cannot be made by phone nor by a third party (i.e., someone outside the group).
  3. Reservations can be made no more than one day in advance.
  4. Reservations are taken for groups only, not for individuals (with the exception of VHS tape viewing). For rooms 210, 212, 213, 314, and 315, the minimum number of people is two; for room 209, the minimum is three.
  5. Reservations are limited to one group per day (i.e., only one room, for one group, for one 2-hour time slot within a calendar day). Please do not send a different member of your group to reserve a second time slot for your group.
  6. Reservations can be made by individuals or groups for the purpose of viewing Course Reserve videocasettes.
  7. Group study rooms may be used without making a reservation, but groups with reservations have priority. Students are free to enter and use rooms or to stay past their reserved time. However, a group with a reservation may ask those without one to vacate the room.

Campus Alternatives

If the library cannot accommodate your group study needs, there are other locations on campus, such as Parina Lounge in the University Center.

If you have a group planning or preparing for an on-campus event (i.e., not class-related work) for which you need a room, please check with events scheduling through the University Center Information Desk.
