Remote Access
Remote access to the databases is restricted to current USF students, faculty, and staff.
Logon
If you do not use USF as your Internet Service Provider (ISP)*, you must logon to access the databases:
When you click on a database link, you will be prompted for:
- Your name
- Your University ID number (social security number is no longer accepted as of January 2, 2007)
Common problems Logging on:
If you get the error message: Sorry, cannot locate patron record
- This means that there is a problem with the University ID number that you typed. Try again carefully.

If you are having difficulties, contact the Reference Department.
*To use USF as your ISP, see ITS: Internet Access for Home Computers from the Information Technology Services department. All questions regarding general Internet access should be directed to them.
