Public Agenda is a nonpartisan research organization. Look under the heading “Issue Guides” to find facts and figures on specific issues, and analysis of public attitudes from surveys conducted by Public Agenda and by other respected polling and news organizations.

Public Opinion Poll Question Database
Odum Institute
This database allows researchers to search for specific poll questions among the more than 230,000 questions in the Institute's archive by key words, date, study number, study title, or state. The system displays the full question text, study information, and frequency distributions. This database is useful both to users interested in looking up previous question wordings to develop questions for their own studies and to users interested in frequencies or in locating particular variables for statistical analysis.

The Chicago Council on Foreign Relations (CCFR) is an independent, non-profit international affairs organization. The Council publishes public opinion studies that cover a wide range of foreign policy issues.

A very user friendly publication which tracks changes in public opinion and breaks-down responses by race, age and education level. The data in this publication are from the 1998 General Social Survey of the University of Chicago’s National Opinion Research Center. Data are organized by subject area.

The Gallup Organization has been conducting public opinion polls across the country since 1935. The library has multiple means of accessing Gallup Poll data:
Much of Gallup's recent polling data and reports is available for free on their website.
The Gallup Poll News Service (see link above) provides news centered on public opinion from 2003-present. Articles from the Gallup Poll News Service analyze findings and trends in politics, business, social issues, and Americans' lifestyles. Two weeks lag-time.
