All of the rankings are divided into 323 metro markets and 210 media markets. Statistics unique to this publication including Effective buying income (EBI), a measurement of disposable income, and the buying power index (BPI), a measure of spending power that takes population, EBI, and retail sales into account to determine a market's ability to buy.
