Statistical Abstract of the United States

This is probably the most important U.S. statistical reference work because it serves both as a prime source for U.S. industrial, social, political, and economic statistics and also as a bibliographical guide. Source notes are at the foot of each table; a useful "Guide to Sources of Statistics " (at end) lists important statistical publications arranged by subject; there is also a "Guide to State Statistical Abstracts," and a "Guide to Foreign Statistical Abstracts."
