RefWorks: Write-N-Cite

If you previously used Write-n-Cite with the proxy server, you must remove the proxy server information from the configuration.

For Windows, open the WNC Proxy Configuration Utility:  Start --> Programs --> RefWorks --> WNC Proxy Configuration Utility. Clear anything that is entered in that box. Click OK.

For Macs, start Write-N-Cite. Go to Preferences. Choose Proxy. Clear any information that is entered in that box. Restart Write-N-Cite.

Downloading/Configuring the Windows Write-N-Cite

1. Login to RefWorks if you have not done so already.
2. Select Write-N-Cite from the Tools drop down menu at the top of the screen.
3. Click on "Write-N-Cite for Windows" in the upper right. 
4. Click on "Previous Versions." 
5. Under "Write-N-Cite III for Windows," click on "Download," and follow these instructions.

Open Microsoft Word and look for the red Write-N-Cite button on the Add-Ins tool bar.

Downloading/Configuring the Macintosh Write-N-Cite

1. Login to RefWorks if you have not done so already.

2. Select Write-N-Cite from the Tools drop down menu at the top of the screen.

3. Click "Download Now" and follow these instructions.
