Designed and printed by Bruce Rogers, the American book and type designer. Rogers modified his own Centaur type in a 22-point size. Double-column is used throughout. A typescript of Rogers’s An Account of the Making of the Oxford Lectern Bible is shown, along with a manuscript and a pamphlet. Additional manuscript materials and ephemera documenting the making of this Bible are housed in the Donohue Rare Book Room.
