The "State of the Nation" section concerns itself with the United States domestic economy, providing current and some historical financial and economic data. The "National Trade Data Bank" (NTDB) and "Global Business Opportunities" (GLOBUS) are the U.S. Government's most comprehensive sources of international trade data and export promotion information.

The GLOBUS & NTDB section is especially useful for country, industry, and market research. Of note in GLOBUS & NTDB are: Country Commercial Guides, Market Research Reports, Best Market Reports, International Marketing Insight Reports, Industry Sector Analysis reports, Commercial Service International Contacts, trade opportunity leads, and import and export data.
