Who should use this database?

The database is useful for locating statistical data for nation states as well as dependencies and areas of special sovereignty with 1998 populations of 5,000 or more.

What kinds of materials are referenced in the database?

Census International DataBase contains demographic and socio-economic statistics for 227 countries and areas of the world. Sources for the data include the U.S. Census Bureau, national statistics offices, the United Nations, and other specialized international intergovernmental organizations.

What years does the database cover?

Varies, but some data is available from as early as 1950. Demographic projections currently go up to 2050.

Will I find full-text articles in the database?
