Those individuals interested in digitized materials at the Library of Congress relating to the history and culture of the United States.

What kinds of materials are referenced in the database?

The American Memory Historical Collections, a major component of the Library of Congress’s National Digital Library Program, are multimedia collections of digitized documents, photographs, recorded sound, moving pictures, text, and other primary resource materials from the Library's Americana collections. There are currently over 70 collections in the American Memory Historical Collections and over one million items.

What years does the database cover?

American Memory includes collections from the 1400s to the present.

Will I find full-text articles in the database?
