About me:
I grew up in Petaluma, CA. I have a B.A. in English from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and a Masters in English Literature from San Francisco State University. I’m currently enrolled in the Masters of Library and Information Science program at San Jose State University.

While earning my B.A., I worked as a Student Assistant at Cal Poly’s Robert E. Kennedy Library. I also lived in Aix-en-Provence, France for a year during college, and spent three months traveling through New Zealand after I graduated from Cal Poly. Soon thereafter, I moved to San Francisco, and after two years of working in Human Resources at a large investment company in the financial district, I accepted a job at Gleeson Library.

At Gleeson:
I am the stacks coordinator at the library, which means that I supervise the shelving, shelf-reading and shifting of materials within the stacks. I also work at the Access Services desk, and enjoy writing occasional posts for the library blog, working on library displays, and welcoming students and faculty to the library.

Embedded librarianship, digital humanities, social media, library history and its intersections with artistic and literary movements: one of my favorite parts of my masters thesis project was reading about the 135th Street Branch of the NYPL during the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s.
