Customizing according to personal taste:
Command Buttons:
At the bottom of the screen are user-defined command buttons. You may configure
them by choosing Settings, Command buttons. You may enter up to 10 characters
for the name of the button, and up to 80 characters for the command, including
the characters "^d" for a send message. We can't, currently, key
a delimiter into the buttons; for text with delimiters, use F2 key combinations.
For
example: To have a button for "cal rlin (cat)," type the name you
would like in the left column (e.g., cal cat) and type the following in the
command column: cal rlin (cat)^d
To use the button, click on it when the cursor is in the
right place, e.g., when you get the "command>" prompt at logging
in, hit the "cal cat" button. You may want a button for "logoff,"
"ent/put," etc. (See "Command Buttons Settings Dialog Box"
in the RLIN Help for more information.)
Enter vs. + for Send Message: You may change the Enter key into
the Send Message key. Choose Settings, Terminal, and click in the Send Message
"dot" to change it.
Color: Choose Settings, Color.
Font and Window size: Currently you may only increase or decrease
the font and window size (together, not separately). You may do this by clicking
on the "f" up and down buttons, or through the Font menu.
Storing text with "F2" key combinations: Instructions
for this are in the RLIN/RLG PC Terminal manual, and haven't
changed with the Windows version of the software (see Sirous if you have questions!).
