Brief Bibs for Materials Waiting to Be Cataloged
Items that are selected to wait (i.e., not be cataloged for one month) need
brief bibs in the OPAC (See "New Materials" for guidelines on selecting
items to be cataloged or to wait.) This is done to avoid ordering duplicates,
to aid in collection development, and to provide information to the public (so
that holds can be placed, etc.)
To key a brief bib in the OPAC:
Choose:
D > Catalog DATABASE maintenance
K > KEY new records
[Key initials and password]
