Resources for First-Year Classes

The Zief Library offers these pages to find library materials related first-year classes and exams. They list hornbooks, nutshells and other study guides and exam preparation materials that are available in the Zief Library. They link to CALI exercises, online outlines, and course pages and sample exams from other schools. Pages are available for:

CALI Exercises for Reviewing Legal Concepts

CALI offers online, interactive tutorials covering a wide variety of first-year and bar topics. They are useful for reinforcing your understanding of legal concepts, and they make good exam-preparation tools.

Law students who want to access these exercises will need the USF CALI authorization code. To obtain USF's CALI authorization codes, call the reference librarians at 415-422-6773 or contact us via email.

TWEN — The West Education Network

TWEN is Westlaw's web-based online course management service. Many USF law school faculty use TWEN for their course pages. Sign on to TWEN with your USF Westlaw password and select "Add a Course" to see which faculty are using TWEN.

Web-based Course Reserves are materials that USF law professors have chosen to make available on the Zief Library Web site. Remember also to check at the circulation desk to see if you professor has any print course reserves.
