There are
several items at the Zief Law Library Circulation/Reserve Desk that can
be used to prepare for exams.
Although
the practice is increasingly rare, some USF law school professors have
placed their old exams on reserve at the Zief Library's Circulation/Reserve
Desk. Ask at the desk by course name or professor's name.
Since civil procedure is one of the essay topics on the California Bar
Examination, some bar examination preparation material is also included
here. Note that some of the bar examination material may have a different

What is Civil Procedure? Civil Procedure is
the set of legal doctrines that govern the bringing of lawsuits. It covers
the questions: Can you sue at all? If so, where? And how do you go about
suing someone else? An introductory overview of the issues involved can
be found in Jay M. Feinman, Law 101, 2d ed., Chapter 4 "Your
Day in Court: The Litigation Process" (2006) (Call Number:
KF 387 .F45 2006 Law Open Reserve). A more comprehensive overview of
the civil litigation system can be found in Geoffrey C. Hazard, Jr., Michele
Taruffo, American Civil Procedure: An Introduction (1993) (Call
Number:
KF 8840 .H37 1993 Law Stacks).
When looking for material held in this library, you might wish to start
with the subject "Civil Procedure— United States" and
then limit your search by year or by location (e.g. limiting your search
to the material held on Reserve).
