  USF Professors on the Presentation Circuit

Seminars and symposia on current issues of interest provide USF faculty members numerous opportunities to share their expertise and keep their knowledge up to date.  Here is a partial list of some of their recent presentations:

Professor Joshua Davis presented "The ABCs of a Successful Plaintiffs' Antitrust Practice," at the Richardson, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman Symposium on Private Litigation.

Professor Connie de la Vega presented "Reclaiming May Day: Fundamental Rithts and the Laws of Nations," sponsored by the Philip and Sala Burton Center for Human Rights and USF; "Developments at the Human Rights Council" at the ASIL Regional Meeting at Golden Gate School of Law; and "Using International Advocacy to Support Child Rights Advocacy - Focusing on Sentences of Juvenile Offenders" at the Challenges for Children's Rights Symposium in San Diego.

Professor Susan Freiwald participated in a day-long working group at Boalt Hall, U.C. Berkeley on "Privacy: Scholarship and Activism."

Professor Alice Kaswan moderated a webinar on "Green Buildings" for the California State Bar Real Estate Section, Construction Committee. 

Associate Professor Richard Leo spoke to the national Legal Aid and Defender Association's annual conference on indigent defense in Dallas, Texas. 

Professor Rhonda Magee spoke on "The Meditative and the Elimination of Bias" at a conference on law and the meditative perspective, sponsored by teh Center for Contemplative Mind in Society. 

Associate Professor Maya Manian presented "The Legal Implications of Gonzales v. Carhart" before a discussion group a the UCSF Bixby Center for Reproductive Health Research and Policy.

Associate Professor Bruce Price was one of ten scholars invited to participate in the Harvard/University of Texas Commercial Law Realities Conference in Austin, Texas.  He also spoke at the Tenth Circuit Judicial Conference. 

Professor Michelle Travis presented introductory remarks and moderated a panel titled "Affirmative Obligations - Accommodations in the Workplace" at the National Disability Law Symposium at Hastings Law School.
