October 16, 2009

The Class of 1969 celebrated its 40th reunion on Sept. 26.

Approximately 50 guests attended the event, which was hosted by committee co-chairs James M. Rockett and Patrick McGaraghan and held in the Kendrick Hall rotunda. Dean Jeffrey Brand was in attendance to welcome back the 1969 graduates.

Class members enjoyed dinner and cocktails while sharing stories and memories of their time at USF and their life after law school, said Assistant Director of Development and Alumni Relations Mynor Aragon, who was also in attendance.

Rockett spoke about the impact his experiences at the USF School of Law have had on his legal career. Rockett and McGaraghan also challenged their fellow graduates to raise $50,000 to endow a scholarship for USF law students. Thus far, $22,250 has been raised by the Class of 1969.
