Adjunct Professor
Adjunct Professor Frankel is a partner in the San Francisco office of Covington & Burling LLP. Frankel specializes in intellectual property litigation and has represented clients in the media, software, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and financial services industries. He has also handled numerous defamation actions for defendants and has extensive experience with visual art legal issues and professional liability matters. He has represented the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and other parties in litigation concerning ownership of art works, copyright, trademark, and resale loyalties. He has served on the board of directors of the Legal Aid Society and New Langton Arts. He is a member of the American Law Institute and the Copyright Society of USA where he is currently chair of the Northern California Chapter. He has been a Northern California Super Lawyer (2007, 2008) and was ranked one of the top 30 intellectual property lawyers in California in 2005 by the Daily Journal.
