Neil P. Cohen

Visiting Professor

Visiting Professor Neil P. Cohen’s research and teaching focuses on criminal law and procedure, sentencing, evidence, and professional responsibility. He is the author and co-author of numerous publications on these subjects, including Criminal Law: Cases, Statutes, and Lawyering Strategies (LexisNexis 2005–2010), Mastering Criminal Law (Carolina Academic Press, 2008), Criminal Procedure: The Post-Investigative Process (Lexis Nexis, 1995–2008), and “Thoughts on Professor Crump’s Comparison of Traditional American Homicide Law and the Model Penal Code (West Virginia Law Review, 2007). Cohen taught at the University of Tennessee College of Law from 1972 to 2006, and has also served as a visiting professor at Brooklyn Law School, Florida State University Law School, Santa Clara Law School, Seattle University School of Law, and the University of the Pacific.
