Lynn Duryee

Adjunct Professor

Adjunct Professor Lynn Duryee is a Superior Court judge in Marin County, where she has served since her appointment to the bench in 1993. Her specialty is conducting settlement conferences, and she has successfully implemented settlement programs and processes in the civil, criminal, and family law assignments. Judge Duryee has been on the faculty of the B.E. Witkin Judicial College since 1995 and she served as dean of the college from 2005–2006. Among the courses she has taught to judges are Trials, Ethics, Evidence, Settlement Skills, Courtroom Control, and Dealing with Difficult People. Along with Matt White, she wrote Mastering Mediation: 50 Essential Tools for the Advanced Practitioner. She taught Evidence and Legal Writing at UC Hastings for 10 years.
