Desiree Moore

Adjunct Professor

Adjunct Professor Desiree Moore is an attorney, author, and lecturer. In 2011, Moore founded Greenhorn Legal, LLC, which offers practical skills training programs for law students as they transition from law school into their legal practices. She is also an adjunct professor of legal writing and practical skills training at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Prior to launching Greenhorn Legal, LLC, Moore was an associate in the law firm of K&L Gates LLP (previously, Bell, Boyd & Lloyd, LLP) in Chicago for seven years. During that time, Moore participated in bench and jury trials, drafted summary judgment and other dispositive motions, and worked closely with clients to achieve desired results in complex litigation matters. At K&L Gates LLP, Moore was also a member of the recruiting committee and associate training committee, and was the summer associate legal writing instructor. She received a BA in psychology from the UC San Diego, magna cum laude, and attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law. In law school, Moore was the conference editor of the Loyola Law Journal, the SBA president, and an award-winning member of Loyola’s American Bar Association Moot Court Team. Moore is the author of Thrive: A New Lawyer’s Guide to Law Firm Practice (American Bar Association, 2012).
