Adjunct Professor Brett Alcala is a practicing attorney and a registered investment advisor. He is the founder of the Alcala Law Firm, which specializes in securities litigation, arbitration, and mediation. He has served as an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), now known as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Alcala is the supervising attorney for the Investor Justice Clinic where he also lectures on securities arbitration law and procedure. He received his law degree from the University of Santa Clara, where he was associate editor of the
