Barbara Rhomberg

Adjunct Professor

Adjunct Professor Barbara Rhomberg is a solo practitioner who represents nonprofit organizations and their charitable donors on tax, trust, and corporate matters, including advice about charitable and planned giving, lobbying and advocacy issues, and nonprofit corporate governance. She is co-author of The Public Charity's Guide to the California Initiative Process and The Private Foundation's Guide to the California Initiative Process, and has written articles on topics ranging from gift acceptance policies to the gift tax treatment of Section 501(c)(4) contributions. Before launching her own practice, she worked in the Office of General Counsel at the University of California, and practiced nonprofit law at Adler & Colvin in San Francisco.
