Justice Ming Chin '67 was featured in a profile of the California Supreme Court in the San Jose Mercury News.
Tony K. Heider '73, chief assistant public defender in Kern County, is running for Kern County Superior Court judge.
Marjorie Scardino '75 has been named one of the top British-based "movers and shakers" by The Daily Telegraph. Scardino is chief executive officer of Pearson PLC, the international education and media business made up of Pearson Education, Penguin, and the Financial Times Group.
Jacki Brown '77 was recently appointed judge at Orange County Superior Court by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
James G. Butler Jr. '87 has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer for the third year in a row.
Craig Livingston '90 has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer for the second year in a row.
Frederick J. Carr '91 has left the firm Cox, Wootton, Griffin, Hansen & Poulos, LLP after 17 years to become deputy general manager of the marinas division of Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Carr will be responsible for the risk management of 12 marinas encompassing 4,000 slips, one of the world's largest consortia of marinas.
Robert Engel '91, previously with Schiff Hardin, has joined Gordon & Rees as senior counsel. Engel is a member of the environmental/toxic tort practice group.   
Robert D. Becker '92 was recently recognized as one of the top 50 IP attorneys under age 45 by IP Law and Business
Julie L. Fieber '99 has joined the firm Stein & Lubin LLP in San Francisco. 
Marina Mayer '03 relocated from New York City to Chicago with her husband in 2006.  She has recently joined the firm Tribler, Orpett & Meyer, P.C.; she concentrates her practice on construction litigation. 
Emily Charley '05, who was previously with Levin Simes Kaiser & Gornick, has joined Hanson Bridgett LLP in the litigation department. 
Amy A. Durgan '06 has joined the firm Curiale, Dellaverson, Hirschfeld & Kreamer LLP.   
John Cannavino '07 has become an attorney with the Stamford, Conn., firm Ryan, Ryan, Johnson & Deluca LLP. He served as staff editor for the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin while attending law school.
