General Details
Building Rules
- A valid USF or Department approved photo ID must be presented at all times for access to the Koret Health and Recreation Center
- The Department of Recreational Sports reserves the right to restrict and/or refuse admittance to its facilities and programs.
- All University and Departmental policies and procedures must be complied with at all times.
- Abusive language and/or actions toward a staff person or fellow patron may result in loss of privileges and/or suspension from facilities.
- All persons using the facility and/or participating in any recreational sports activity must have a signed waiver on file.
- Children under 17 years of age must have a waiver signed (on site) by a parent or legal guardian. Children under 17 years of age may use the KHRC only when accompanied and directly supervised by their parent or legal guardian, unless enrolled in a recreational sports program or currently registered as a USF student.
- Weight room and cardiovascular alley machines are restricted to users 18 years of age and older unless registered as a USF student.
- Koret users, with or without compensation, other than KHRC staff are not permitted to provide instruction and/or coaching without prior written approval from the Department of Recreational Sports.
- No more than two guests per member per day. Visitors must pay appropriate fee and sign a waiver form.
- Shirts are required in all areas of the facility except the pool deck and multipurpose courts.
- Smoking is not permitted in the KHRC at any time.
- Eating and drinking are permitted only in designated areas. Please be aware of them. Do not eat and/or drink in activity areas.
- Bicycles, mopeds, in-line skates, skate-shoes, or skateboards are not allowed inside the KHRC. Bike and mopeds must be locked up outside the facility and skateboards and in-line skates must be carried.
- Animals are not allowed inside the KHRC building or the pool area unless they are specially trained to aid in the mobility of their owners, i.e., seeing eye or hearing-ear dogs.
- No hard-soled/floor-marking shoes allowed on the hardwood floors of the KHRC.
- Cell phone use is restricted to specific areas.
- All persons using the KHRC are responsible to abide by the rules applicable to that area, which are available upon request.
- The Department is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lost and found items left over 30 days will be discarded.
- The above policies are subject to change without notice.
Access To Koret Health and Recreation Center
The USF Recreational Sports Department is responsible for establishing
access to the Koret Health and Recreation Center. If you have questions regarding
your eligibility to use Koret, or if you were recently denied access to the
Koret Center, please contact our Membership Coordinator at 422-2943.
Students, faculty, and staff holding cards which have been demagnetized or physically damaged can report these problems to the One Card Office in Campion A2.

Equipment Check-out
Equipment may be checked out for use in the Koret by leaving a valid California
driver's license, California ID card, Koret ID or USF ID card at the Equipment
Desk. Picnic equipment for such activities as volleyball, softball, football
and soccer is available to USF Students, Faculty, Staff and Koret Annual Members.
No outside equipment may be brought into the center (i.e. own basketball).

Locker and Towel Service
Day Use
Day use lockers are available but lockers must be cleared before leaving
the building. Unauthorized overnight use of lockers is subject to removal of
contents (retrieval fees apply). Locks are available at the equipment desk.
Towels may be obtained on a daily basis for a minimum charge (free for USF students)
and must be returned to the equipment desk after use. A valid California Driver's
License, California ID card or USF ID card must be left at the equipment desk
to obtain towels and lockers on a daily basis. Inquire at the Koret Center equipment desk for fee information and sign up.
Locker Service (fees)
Full-time Faculty/Staff are eligible for locker service on a semester ($40)
or yearly ($100) basis. USF students are eligible for semester service only
($15) and Annual members are eligible for yearly service only ($100) .
Lost lock fee: $15.00
Locker content retrieval fee: $25.00
Towel Service (fees)
Towel fee: $2.00/day
Lost towel fee: $15.00
Full-time Faculty/Staff semester towel service: $25.00
Full-time Faculty/Staff yearly towel service: $80.00
All pass holders/monthly members are eligible for semester towel service only
($25) and Annual members are eligible for yearly service only($80). Service is
free to current USF students.

Employment Opportunities
The Department of Recreational Sports employs students in a wide range of positions including lifeguards, weight room attendants, equipment desk attendants, cardiovascular alley attendants, front desk attendants, office assistants, building supervisors and activity instructors. CPR certification is required and must be completed soon after hiring. Advanced red cross certification is required for certain aquatic positions. Apply at the Front Desk.
