This 1-day (4-hour) course includes comprehensive skills covering airway management, rescue breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Skills adapted to Adult CPR.
Certification: American Heart Association-Heart Saver valid for 1 year

AED & CPR Re-Certification
Class consists of a quick review of Adult CPR and the integration of AED as part of the "chain of survival" for sudden cardiac arrest patients. Prerequisites: Adult CPR within the past year.
Certification: American Heart Association Heart Saver-valid for 1 year.

CPR for School of Education & School of Nursing Students
This 2-day (8-hour) course includes comprehensive skills covering airway management, rescue breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Each skill is adapted to adult, infant and child CPR. Also includes 2-person CPR and use of pocket masks and bag resuscitators.
Certification: American Heart Association- BLS Healthcare Provider valid for 2 years *Satisfies the CPR requirements for USF Nursing Students and USF School of Education Students (infant/child skills).

Basic First Aid
Course includes emergency action principles, bleeding management and control, soft tissue injury care, poison management, shock care, care for temperature extremes, skeletal and joint injuries.
Certification: American Heart Association Standard First Aid valid for 3 years.

Pediatric CPR
This 1-day (3-hour) course is geared towards parents, siblings and caregivers of infants and small children. The instructor will review the following skills: causes of respiratory distress/cardiac events in infants/children; how to deal with a choking emergency; and CPR for infants/children.
Certification: Heartsaver Infant/Child*
*This certification is NOT valid for School of Nursing or School of Education Students. This class does NOT fulfill credential requirements for those groups.
