John Ohure Chachu, S.J.

John Ohure Chachu, S.J is a South Sudanese Jesuit. He is from Eastern Africa Province (EAP-AOR includes Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda and Tanzania). John joined the Society of Jesus, July 10, 1988, ordained Nov 24, 2002 and took Final Vows July 21, 2012. He did his Novitiate in Lusaka-Zambia, Juniorate and studies in Humanities in Harare-Zimbabwe. John did his studies (both undergraduate and graduate) of Philosophy in Pune-India, B.A Theology in Hekima College, Jesuit School of Theology (Catholic University of Eastern Africa-CUEA) Nairobi-Kenya, Theology Graduate studies in Regis College (University of Toronto-UoT). John is currently pursuing M.A studies in Catholic Educational Leadership at USF, California. John immediately after his ordination was assigned and mission to teach Philosophy in St. Paul’s National Major Seminary, Khartoum-Sudan. John also worked in a Jesuit Spirituality Centre, Mwangaza, Nairobi-Kenya. John for a short time worked as assistant Parish Priest, Wau-South Sudan.
