BEFORE YOU START
Before you start the lessons, you must install a Java plug-in, configure your system for Japanese, and enable Japanese typing. For step by step instructions, please select your operating system from the menu below: 

Select Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Microsoft Windows 2000 Mac OS X 10.3 or lower Mac OS X 10.4

After reboot, enable Japanese typing:
Windows XP (STEP3) | Windows 2000 (STEP3) |
Mac OS X 10.3 or lower (STEP3) | Mac OS X 10.4 (STEP3)

ROBO-SENSEI is highly effective, interactive software for learning and practicing grammar principles that are essential to mastery of Japanese. Using natural language processing and artificial intelligence, ROBO-SENSEI provides detailed, personalized feedback as you work through a series of 24 entertaining lessons—from beginning to advanced levels. You create your own sentences in Japanese in response to real-life communicative situations. Color images of Japan and extensive cultural information accompany each exercise. ROBO-SENSEI incorporates Japanese characters, so you can read and type in Japanese and enhance your kana/kanji recognition. Instructions are provided for those who do not know how to type in Japanese, and the first five lessons are available in romaji.
