USFconnect is a central resource where members of the USF community can access
all of the web-based information and services they need. Using a single username
and password, students, faculty, and staff can:
- Get and send email
- Access web-based file storage with USFfiles
- Keep a personal calendar
- Access administrative services through student, faculty, employee and alumni
self-service tools
- Access and deliver online course materials
- Form dynamic group sites around common interests, organizations, or committees
- And more!
Content served through USFconnect is targeted to users, streamlining menus
and reducing information overload.
Who has access?
Admitted students, current students, faculty, and staff can access USFconnect.
Alumni who would like an account can request one online at www.usfca.edu/alumni/usfconnect.
How do I get an account?
Accounts are created automatically for all admitted students, as well as
new faculty and staff. Newly admitted students will find their account information
at the bottom of their letter of admission. New faculty and staff will receive
their account information in the mail.
New first-year Law School admits receive their account information in a separate mailing in early July.
If you lose your account information or have not yet received it, go to usfconnect.usfca.edu
and click on the Login Tools link on the right hand side of the page. Available
tools include username lookup and password reset (students only). If you need
assistance, visit the ITS Help Desk in Lone Mountain North, 2nd Floor (be sure
to bring a picture ID) or call (415) 422-6668. The ITS Help Desk is open Monday
to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
What will my USF email address be?
Your USF e-mail address will be your USFconnect username plus “@usfca.edu”
(e.g. tjsmith@usfca.edu).

The Technology Behind USFconnect
USFconnect is built using software from Campus Pipeline. This software was
selected following a two-year research and review process, which included close
examination of many vendors. Campus Pipeline is focused exclusively on higher
education, and intricately associated with USFs main administrative information
system vendor, SCT. More than 100 college and university campuses are currently
using Campus Pipelines software.
