Over move-in weekend, 8/20-8/21, ITS will have staff located in the lounges of Xavier, Hayes-Healy, and Gillson residence halls. If your answers are not resolved with the phone and computer information provided below, you can contact us directly or use the sign-up sheet at the front desk of your residence hall to indicate you need assistance and for what. Over the weekend, ITS staff will periodically be checking in with front desk staff regarding those who may need assistance.
Caviet: The beginning of the fall semester is the busiest time of year for ITS. Please be patient with us as we try to address your issues and understand that many others are also trying to get assistance. We are doing the best we can to help you!

Does ITS have any additional FAQs?
What should I do to protect my computer from viruses and other threats?
May I use a wireless device in my room?
- No. The University’s Security Policy does not currently allow the use of personal wireless devices in residence hall rooms. Contact itshelp@usfca.edu if you would like more information as to why this is.
- For general information about wireless access on campus, please check out our wireless page: http://www.usfca.edu/its/support/wireless/index.html.
Does ITS help me with my personal computer?
- ITS is limited in the help we can provide for privately-owned computers. We will do whatever we can to help you connect to the University network and campus resources, but normal software and hardware troubleshooting is not possible.
