Students:
USFconnect / Network (LAN) / Blackboard: As a student, you can change or
reset your USFconnect, LAN and Blackboard passwords online via the Login
Tools page in USFconnect. (The passwords are are usually the same. Even if they aren't the same now, using the instructions below will synchronize them.)
- Go to the main USFconnect
Login page.
- Click on one of the links in the green login box.
- From the choices, select either:
- Reset your Password (Use this option if you do not know your password)
- Change your Password
By using the Login Tools to reset or change your USFconnect
password, you are changing your USFconnect, Network (LAN)
and Blackboard passwords (The LAN password allows you to log into a campus computer such as those in the
labs or in the library, or to use PubNet or our Wireless network).
Faculty &
Staff:
USFconnect / Network (LAN) / Blackboard: As a USF employee, you can change
your USFconnect, LAN and Blackboard password within USFconnect.
- Go to the main USFconnect
Login page.
- Click on one of the links "Change your password?" in the green login box.
Blackboard:
The Blackboard password is synchronized with the USFconnect password. Please use
the USFconnect password change or reset
(reset for students only) tools to change your Blackboard password.
Web page account: Changeable
only by request to the Help Desk.
Network / LAN:
Students who use the USFconnect Login Tools to reset or change their USFconnect
password and faculty and staff who change their password within USFconnect
will also have their Network/LAN password reset as well so both USFconnect
and the Network password match upon reset or change. After a reset or change
using the Login Tools, however, it is still possible to manually change your
Network account if desired. See the instructions below on how to change your
Network password.
Your LAN account allows you to access the computer lab computers, the wireless
network, and your folder on the file share server, Donna. The easiest way
to change your LAN account password is to do it while on one of the PC computers
in one of our computer labs or if you are on a PC which is set up to require
login while on the University network (such as a staff computer).
- Once you have logged in with your current password, hold down the Crtl+Alt+Delete
keys and then click on the Change Password button.
- The screen that appears should show your username and Accounts. You should
then enter your old password, new password, and confirm new password.
- Then click the OK button. The next time you login, you will need
to use your new password.
Remember, if you do this, your passwords will no longer be in synch.
