Loyola House Non-student Residence

Telephone Service

Residents must make arrangements directly with AT&T for telephone service and coordinate activation with the Information Technology Services (ITS) department. AT&T is responsible for phone service as well as wiring up to the Main Point of Entry (MPOE) located in the Loyola Village telephone closet. USF’s CNS Network/Telecommunication Operations unit handles access to the Loyola Village telephone closet to AT&T technicians, inside wiring and jack activation services. Call the AT&T toll free number, 800-310-2355, to apply for new residential telephone service. Please note down the assigned telephone number, date of the appointment and time of the appointment.

Call the ITS Help Desk, 415-422-6668, or email itshelp@usfca.edu, your request to meet the AT&T technician, provide inside wiring and jack activation services to your Loyola Village unit. You will be issued Change Request Number from the ITS Help Desk for tracking your request. A technician from CNS Network Telecom Operations will contact the residents to confirm arrangements for entry into telephone closet and inside wiring activations.

Cable TV & Internet Service

Residents must make arrangements directly with Comcast for cable service and coordinate access to the Loyola Village cable closet with the Information Technology Services (ITS) department. Only ITS has access to the cable room, so a visit by a Comcast representative without a prior request to ITS will result in an inability to establish cable.

Call Comcast at 800-945-2288 to establish cable service.

Residents in Loyola Village can also choose to connect to a USF Ethernet connection or independent high speed internet through a local provider. USF Ethernet service will be billed to residents at $50 a month.

Call the ITS Help Desk, 415-422-6668, or email itshelp@usfca.edu, your request USF Ethernet services and/or to meet the Comcast or independent high speed internet local provider’s technician, for access to the Loyola Village cable and telephone closets. You will be issued Change Request Number from the ITS Help Desk for tracking your request. A technician from CNS Network Telecom Operations will contact the residents to confirm arrangements for entry into cable and telephone closets and inside wiring activations.
