Meet the CIT Staff
John Bansavich, ED.D.

John has been with USF since 1997 as the faculty/staff educational technology
coordinator, CIT lab manager, and an advocate for teaching and learning
with technology. John has taught Web design and multimedia classes in
the Computer Science department at USF, the Master's In Educational Technology
program, and is currently teaching preservice teachers about technology
in the Teacher Education Department through the School of Education.
He has a passion for working with educators and students at all levels
of their comprehension and appreciation of technology.
John has been involved in a variety of technology integration projects
since 1990. An early adopter of online learning at USF, he has worked
closely with faculty on their online and in-class strategies for teaching
with technology. Since becoming the Director of the CIT in 2001, he has
been working on the renovation of the CIT as a faculty and staff resource
center where technology skills can be observed, modeled, and acquired.
Current research projects
Studying how preservice teachers are being prepared to teach with technology
in the classroom.

Ginny Wallace

Ginny's areas of expertise are curriculum design and course development
within online learning platforms such as Blackboard, eCollege and Convene.
Working with faculty to structure online course content, building interactivity
into the online environment and designing collaborative online projects
are her current challenges at the CIT.

Eileen Lai

Eileen joined CIT in 2002 after completing eight years of service at
the School of Business. Her area of expertise is in web design. She teaches
various web authoring tools to faculty and staff with the goal of enhancing
teaching and learning experience through the use of computer technology.
She also provides lead support to the Director of CIT on different projects.

Ken joined CIT in 2007 after serving 6 years at the ITS Help Desk. His driving philosophy is to "provide a human face to technology" at CIT. His experiences in troubleshooting issues ranging from basic application usage to multimedia will be taken a step further in working with the USF community in the use of technology as an effective tool in the classroom. At the CIT, Ken looks to provide a positive and encouraging training atmosphere for users at all skill levels.
