International Education Week is a national celebration of education exchange co-organized by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. Join us to stimulate deeper cultural understanding in our own community and foster an inclusive worldview.
USF's IEW celebration has many opportunities for participation. You can join a soccer team for the International Cup, submit an international photo for the photo contest, test your knowledge at trivia night and much more. Culturescape is an annual event hosted by the International Student Association (ISA), with support from ISSS, that celebrates the international cultures at USF. The event is comprised of both cultural performances and cuisine from around the world.

Perspectives on an International Student Retreat
Monday, November 17. 6pm - 7:30pm, Romero Room, University Ministry.
Rooted in the Jesuit tradition but made available
to students of all faiths, the retreat is a great way to bond with classmates
and refresh. Take a step back to
reflect and learn about a University Ministry student "retreat" and
how it can benefit you.
Geography Series: Stories & Food From Home
Tuesday, November 18. 5pm - 6:30pm, Cultural Center.
Travel to four different countries and sample
their food from the comfort of the UC. Local
students will share their stories and give you the inside scoop. Where will you travel next?
Stories Around the World
Wednesday, November 19. 2:30pm - 3:45pm, Lone Mountain, 100. In this signature event during International Education Week, international students recite short stories, folktales or proverbs from around the world, illustrating how various values are shared across cultures.
Stories of Solidarity: Pedro Arrupe Justice Immersions
Wednesday, November 19. 6:00pm - 7:30pm, Romero Room, University Ministry.
How can students pursue an immersion experience
in solidarity with underserved populations, and how do faculty and staff see
how they have inspired students on immersions they organize? Faculty, students, and staff can reflect on these
questions while past participants will help shine a light on the Immersions and
their role in international education.
Global Trivia Night
Thursday, November 20, 7pm - 8:30pm. Crossroads
Test your international knowledge in this
pub-style trivia event. Enjoy free
snacks and win prizes!
Thursday & Friday, November 20-21, 2:00pm -
5pm, Negoesco Field, Koret.
All USF students, faculty, and staff are invited
to compete in a friendly, campus wide soccer tournament. Teams are co-ed and
participants may join as an individual or with a teammate. Teams will play 6
vs. 6 and the champions will receive a team trophy and individual prizes.
