International Education Week: November 15–22


International Education Week is a national celebration of education exchange. Last year's International Education Week took place between Friday, November 15 - Friday, November 22. We hope the events held during that week helped to stimulate deeper cultural understanding in our own community and foster an inclusive worldview.

As part of the IEW celebration, there was a chance for all students, staff and faculty to submit international photos for the IEW Photo Contest.  The photos need to be of a place that is not your home country.  During IEW the USF community will be able to vote on the photos and the winners will be announced at the end of the week.  Here are the photos that were submitted for IEW 2013:

Culturescape is an annual event hosted by the International Student Association (ISA), with support from ISSS, that celebrates the international cultures at USF. The event is comprised of both cultural performances and cuisine from around the world.

An engaging discussion for USF staff and faculty on USF's current efforts towards internationalizing our campus. 

International Trivia Night @ Crossroads Cafe

Tuesday, November 19. 7pm - 8:30pm, Crossroads Cafe.

Test your international and cultural knowledge at the cafe style trivia night.

Stories from Around the World

Wednesday, November 20. 2:30pm - 3:45pm, Lone Mountain, 100.

 In this signature event during International Education Week, international students recite short stories, folktales or proverbs from around the world, illustrating how various values are shared across cultures.

Wednesday, November 20. 5:00pm - 6:30pm, Maraschi, Fromm Hall. 

Where in the world do MAIS graduate students complete their internships? The Master of Arts in International Studies (MAIS) Program invites you to join us for our annual Internship Forum. Students will present their internship experiences to the USF community in a panel setting.

International Cup

Tournament Thursday, November 21. 3pm - 5pm, Negoesco Field / Koret.

International Cup Championships Friday, November 22, 3pm - 5pm, Negoesco Field / Koret.

All USF students, faculty, and staff are invited to compete in a friendly, campus wide soccer tournament.Teams are co-ed and participants may join as an individual or team. Teams will play 7 vs. 7 and the champions will receive a team trophy and individual prizes.
