The Editors of the IPLB are second and third year law students at the University of San Francisco, coming from an array of different professional and academic backgrounds.

Executive Articles Editor Jim Kiryakoza is a third-year law student at the University of San Francisco. Jim holds a B.S in  Computer Science from the University of Michigan. A former software engineer for sixteen years, Jim specializes in Patent Law and is a licensed patent agent. Jim has worked at both Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP and Fliesler Meyer LLP as a Summer Associate. Jim is currently interning for judge Clauda Wilken of the Federal District Court of the Northern District of California.
Christina Gagnier is a third-year law student at the University of San Francisco. Christina holds a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from UC Irvine and a Master’s in Public Administration from USC. Christina specializes in Cyberspace Law and Constitutional Law, serving as a research assistant to Lawrence Lessig, working on Code 2.0 and a forthcoming publication. Gagnier is also a partner in the firm Gagnier Margossian, a public affairs and political communications consulting group.
Heather Osborn Ng is a third-year law student at the University of San Francisco. Heather holds a B.A. in English from Pacific Union College, with minors in Journalism and Public Relations. Heather’s interests are concentrated in Copyright, Trademark, Cyberspace and Privacy Law. Prior to law school, Heather worked for four years as a newspaper reporter. Heather has clerked at Wal-Mart.com, PayPal, and the Superior Court of Santa Clara County.                                    Rebecca Hopkins

Rebecca holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from UCLA. Rebecca is primarily interested in Copyright, Trademark, Cyberspace, and Entertainment Law. Prior to attending USF, Rebecca worked at Creative Artists Agency in Hollywood and in entertainment public relations. While in New York, Rebecca worked as Story Editor at Sony Pictures. Her legal internships have included stints at California Lawyers for the Arts and Creative Industry Law Group.

Senior Technical Editor Sean McGuckian is a third-year law student at the University of San Francisco. Sean holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology from          UC Santa Cruz. Sean is primarily interested in Copyright, Entertainment Law, and the First Amendment. Prior to law school, Sean worked for several years in theatre management at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Sean was an Editor for USF’s legal newspaper, The Forum, and has worked as a Summer Associate at the Law Office of Paul A. Spiegel, an entertainment law practice. 
David K. Lee is a third-year law student at the University of San Francisco.  David holds a B.S. in Economics from UC Berkeley.  David is primarily interested in Copyright, Trademark, and Entertainment Law.  Prior to attending USF, David worked for KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint Consulting, Inc. performing enterprise-wide ERP implementations for multi-national corporations and as a paralegal at Quinn, Emmanuel, Urquhart, Oliver & Hedges, LLP.  He is currently working at the State Bar of California for the Office of General Counsel.
                                   Athena Johns
Senior Articles Editor Athena Johns is a second-year law student at the University of San Francisco School of Law. Athena holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics from the University of the Pacific. Prior to attending law school, Athena provided acoustical consulting services at the engineering firm of Smith, Fause, & McDonald, Inc. Her interests are in Patent and Cyberspace Law. Last summer, Athena acquired patent prosecution experience as an intern at the firm Fernandez & Associates, LLP.
