The Inland Empire Nonprofit Sector: A Growing Region Faces the Challenges of Capacity

After 25 years of service to the nonprofit management community, the USF Institute for Nonprofit Organization Management will be closing at the end of March 2009. The closure is for financial reasons, as are so many decisions being made in these hard economic times.

Founded in 1983, the Institute has a proud legacy of successful research projects, conferences, public events, and support of nonprofit management education. Institute reports are still available to download as free PDFs at cps.usfca.edu/inom.

The Institute thanks all the generous donors—foundations, corporations, and individuals—who supported the Institute over its 25 years. The Institute has been one of the most active and successful producers of research in USF’s history. More than 8 million dollars from outside sources (foundations, corporations, government, and individuals) has been raised since 1983. The Institute has left its mark on the burgeoning field of nonprofit management education and research and will never be forgotten as one of the most prominent pioneers in this area. We are proud of the Institute’s many accomplishments and know it has earned its honored place in this growing field.
