Since 1974, the University of San Francisco has offered English as a Second Language (ESL) courses to non-native speakers of English. USF's Intensive English Program (IEP) provides intensive language training to international students who wish to improve their English for academic, professional, or personal reasons.

Special Programs:

The Intensive English Program can design programs for groups of 10 or more upon request. Past programs included business English, conversational English and U.S. culture, and English teacher educational seminars. Please contact the IEP office for more information.

The University of San Francisco is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. USF's Intensive English Program is a member of the American Association of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP).
