Childcare Resources

USF Childcare Subsidy Program: USF provides childcare subsidies, based upon a sliding income scale, for full-time faculty and staff with pre-first grade children (pre-kindergarten for Local 39 members).

Your funding amount is based on the following:

Faculty and Librarians

Rank

Instructors, Assistant Professors, and Assistant Librarians $385/month
Associate Professors and Associate Librarians $347/month
Professors and Librarians $308/month

Staff (Administrative, OPE, Local 1877, Public Safety)

Annual Salary

$79,829 or less $385/month
$79,830 to $98,809 $347/month
$98,810 to $127,042 $308/month

Local 39

Annual Salary

$79,829 or less $350/month
$79,830 to $98,809 $315/month
$98,810 to $127,042 $280/month

Subsidies are provided through the University's flexible spending account program and are therefore generally not considered taxable income.

Referral Service: CONCERN Childcare and Eldercare Referral Service (for full-time faculty and staff only). Please contact CONCERN at (800) 344-4222; this service will assist you in locating the following types of care for your child:

  • Day care centers
  • Family day care homes
  • Pre-schools
  • Public and Private schools with extended care
  • Before and After School Care
  • Nannies
  • Summer Programs
  • Programs for Children with Special Needs Child Care
