HR Banner Updates

Leave Accural's Update - 4/28/08

ALP and USFFA Librarians - These employee groups' vacation leave tables were incorrectly calculating the monthly accrual. The accrual for months January to March 2008 is being calculated and will be reflected in the employee's May 23, 2008 paycheck.

Other Monthly and Semi-Monthly Salaried Employees - The Banner team corrected the per-pay period accrual calculations for the March 2008 payroll cycles. The January and February 2008 differences have been calculated and will be reflected in the employee's May 23, 2008 paycheck for Monthly and the May 15, 2008 paycheck for semi-monthly.

Other Semi-Monthly Hourly Employees - Solution is being tested and we plan to have accurate balances in the May 31, 2008 paycheck.

 Timesheets Update - 4/28/08 

Paper timesheets will continue to be used until electronic time and leave reporting (e-timesheets) have been established. Human Resources and ITS are currently piloting e-timesheets and HR is building the necessary approval queues for e-timesheet implementation. Divisions and colleges are being rolled out individually throughout the summer. E-Timesheets will be fully implemented by August 15. HR has discussed transition dates with the Division Vice Presidents and College Deans. Training for electronic time and leave reporting began in February and materials are online at http://www.usfca.edu/hr/banner/guides_tutorials.html. MO = Monthly Administrative (Exempt) Staff
SH = Full-Time OPE, Full-Time Gardeners and Laborers, Full-Time Temporary Staff (Job Code I), Full-Time Public Safety Officers, Hourly OPE, Hourly Temporary Staff, Hourly Engineers and Hourly Public Safety Officers
SM = Semi-monthly Administrative (Exempt) Staff
EPAF Submission Date = this is the date where an EPAF (either for a new employee or a change for an existing employee) must be submitted in order to be paid for the current pay cycle.
Timesheet Approval Date = this is the date where either the paper or electronic time/leave report must be approved by the supervisor in order to be included in the current payroll cycle.
Faculty do not submit timesheets or leave reports.

Please note that leave use for MO and SM employees is one reported pay period behind. For example, leave use submitted for the pay period of 3/1-3/15 will not be reflected until the pay period of 3/16-3/31. If you would like to see the comprehensive 2008 Payroll Schedule, please click here.
