Health Promotion Workshops
The purpose of our workshops is to provide students with knowledge that will equip them with the power to take control over their health and well-being, and for them to become aware of their behaviors as it impacts themselves and others in the community.
Please fill out form below if you're interested in scheduling a workshop, or want more information. We need 1 week advance notice for planning purposes. However, depending on
staff availability, we may be able to accommodate last minute requests.
In the Stress Management workshop, students will learn about the role of stress in one’s life,
differentiate between positive/negative stressors, and recognize one's body physiological response to stress. Selye’s
General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS) theory will be discussed to highlight the correlation between stress and physical illness.Students will be able identify the
source of their stress, symptoms of stress, and select effective strategies to
deal with stress. Fill out form below.
In the Healthy Relationships workshop, we will help students identify signs of a healthy relationship, warning
signs of an unhealthy relationship, how to ask for consent, and offer
resources students can use to become the person they want to be, as well
as help them to become advocates for healthy relationships on campus.
The workshop is interactive, and we encourage students to participate
and share their personal values. Fill out form below.
Our Registered, Dietetic Technician (DTR) is available to conduct a
nutrition workshop that covers healthy eating and physical activity. The workshops are, "Quick Nutritious Snacks on the Go," and "Eating on a Budget." Fill out form below.
It is essential for all students to have a clear understanding of how to access health services while at USF. The Health Promotion Services office offers several Health Care 101 workshops throughout the academic year in order to provide students with information on how to obtain care while away from home. However, you may request for this workshop as needed. Fill out the form below.
