The first Annual USF
Community Health Fair will be on Thursday, February 28th from 10 AM
– 2 PM in Koret Health and Recreation Center (Swig Gym). The goal of the health fair is to provide USF
community with health resources to promote disease prevention, healthier lifestyles, and self care.
A number of free health screenings will
be available to students, such as a 20-minute HIV test, massage, upper body/Lower body mobility, skin calipers (body fat testing), circumference measurements, posture assessment, 5 minutes cardio fitness test, Spin bike set-up, blood pressure check, and much more.
Whole Foods at Haight has donated free fruits and a gift card plus Sports Basement will be offering discount coupons redeemable at their stores.
Over 30 community health related organizations will be on hand to publicize volunteer and internship opportunities at their respective organizations to students. In addition, Blood Centers of the Pacific will be holding a Blood Drive on the day of the health fair on Parker and Golden Gate Avenue.
Free giveaways: skater socks, hand sanitizers, first aid kits, and raffle tickets for three i-shuffles.
