Funding

AGSUSF Funding allows for graduate students and graduate student organizations to access funding to advance graduate student life. 

Below are steps to successfully obtain funding from the the Associate Graduate Students of the University of San Francisco (AGSUSF).

Graduate Students - Initiative Funding

Eligibility
• be a registered, full-time, USF graduate student
• available to graduate students in the College of Arts & Sciences, School of Education, School of Nursing and Health Professions, School of Management

Process

• apply at least six (6) business weeks prior to when funds are needed
• submit online Orgsync application

Purpose

• be used towards personal and professional development expenses (conference registration, conference travel)

Approval Process

• via Graduate Student Senate Finance Committee

Limit

• one (1) approved application per semester
• maximum request and grant award up to $250

Student Organization - Event Funding

Eligibility
• be a Graduate Student Organization (GSO) registered with Student Leadership and Engagement
• available to only Gold Organizations

Process

• apply at least six (6) business weeks prior to event date
• submit online Orgsync application

Purpose

• be used towards campus events open to the USF students

Approval Process

• via Graduate Student Senate Finance Committee
• any request requires an in-person presentation to the Finance Committee

Limit

• one (1) approved application per year
• maximum request and grant award up to $5,000
• cannot be used in conjunction with Internal Development grant

Student Organization - Internal Development Funding

Eligibility
• be a Graduate Student Organization (GSO) registered with Student Leadership and Engagement
• available to both Green and Gold Organizations

Process

• apply at least six (6) business weeks prior to when funds are needed
• submit online Orgsync application
• provide quote and proof from Social Imprints for all clothing and imprinted materials

Purpose

• be used towards expenses geared to bettering the organization's development and leadership (T-shirts, banners, binders, promotional materials)

Approval Process

• via Graduate Student Senate Finance Committee
• any request over $500 requires an in-person presentation to the Finance Committee

Limit

• one (1) approved application per semester
• maximum request and grant award up to $750

Senate - Initiative Funding

Eligibility
• be a Senator on the Graduate Student Senate

Process

• apply at least six (6) business weeks prior to when funds are needed
• submit online Orgsync application
• provide quote and proof from Social Imprints for all clothing and imprinted materials

Purpose

• be used towards initiatives and events to serve constituents

Approval Process

• via Graduate Student Senate Finance Committee
• any request requires an in-person presentation to the Finance Committee

Limit

• one (1) approved application per semester
• maximum request and grant award up to $1000

Funding Deadlines

October 24, 2014
• Graduate Students - Initiative Funding before March 13, 2015 (Spring Break)
• Student Organization - Internal Development Funding before May 14, 2015 (last day of classes)
• Student Organization - Event Funding before March 13, 2015 (Spring Break)

March 6, 2015

• Graduate Students - Initiative Funding before October 9, 2015 (Fall Break)
• Student Organization - Internal Development Funding before October 9, 2015 (Fall Break)
• Student Organization - Event Funding before October 9, 2015 (Fall Break)
