Do I have to enroll in USF’s health insurance?

No, you do not have to enroll in USF's health insurance plan, though the University does provide a special student plan at a special student rate through Aetna Insurance Company. If you would like to enroll in the student health insurance program, you must be must be enrolled in 6 or more units at the University of San Francisco if you live off- campus. If you live on-campus or are an international student, you are automatically enrolled in the program. If you choose not to enroll in the student health insurance plan, you must fill out a petition to waive the cost of coverage. Who can help me with my financial aid questions?

Any financial aid questions should be addressed directly with the University of San Francisco's One Stop Enrollment and Financial Assistant department. Their office is located in Lone Mountain 251 or you can call their office at 415. 422.2020. Visit website »

Where can I park on campus? Do I need a permit?

Parking on campus is very limited. Students living on-campus or within a three mile radius are not eligible for an on-campus parking permit. Commuter students are eligible to apply for a parking permit and will be put into a lottery. Parking permit applications become available every January and are due by the end of July. Students whose names are drawn out of the lottery will be notified by the first week of August if they receive a permit. Outside of the lottery, daily parking permits are available for purchase at the Lone Mountain Visitor Information Booth. You can also enjoy the free street parking around campus. There are many areas around campus with free 24 hour parking but watch out for street cleaning days! The 24 hour street parking tends to fill up in the early morning, in which case there also many two hour parking spaces around campus. Be sure to move your car every two hours if you choose this option, as SF parking officers are always on patrol in the neighborhood. Visit website »
