The Cultural Centers engages the multiple identities of all students, empowers leaders to be change agents for social justice, and builds alliances with students, staff, and faculty to create a community that honors and values diversity.

Leo T. McCarthy Center for Public Service and the Common Good

The Leo T. McCarthy Center for Public Service and the Common Good seeks to inspire and equip students for lives and careers of ethical public service and serving others. Public Service is viewed as activities that directly contribute to the achievement of a common objective or value, on a public policy level, in areas such as government, business, the environment, health care and education, particularly policies that may affect the poor and disenfranchised. Thus, public service can be performed in the public, nonprofit or private sectors.

The Office of Diversity Engagement and Community Outreach seeks to promote an organizational culture that values diversity in all its’ forms through inclusive dialogues, experiences, and appreciation and value of others to leverage people as a source of collective learning, campus unity, and institutional strength.
