As a non-profit organization, the Fromm Institute underwrites the majority of the program's costs. The Institute relies upon the generous support of individuals and foundations and has never accepted government funding. Accordingly, fund raising remains an ongoing endeavor. While the program is independently funded, the University of San Francisco makes its modern facilities available as its essential contribution. USF is among the most culturally diverse independent colleges in the West. Intimate in size and urban in setting, the USF campus is an excellent place to grow intellectually and socially. United in "promoting the lifelong learning of mature men and women in an atmosphere of academic freedom," this unique partnership between the Fromm Institute and the University of San Francisco has enriched the lives of thousands of Bay Area seniors.
