Sheldon Engler is an economic consultant, specializing in global economic and financial market research for businesses and institutional investors. Sheldon has thirty-five years of experience in financial services, academics, and consulting.
Before starting his consulting practice in 2007, Sheldon was head of fixed income research at Charles Schwab Investment Management. Earlier he worked at Bank of America, where he was a global currency strategist and director of Europe, Middle East, and Africa research.
Sheldon teaches economics, finance, and statistics at the University of San Francisco’s School of Management and at the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management. He previously taught at the University of Florida, Louisiana State University, the University of Santa Clara, Golden Gate University and the University of California, Berkeley Extension.
Sheldon is a member of the California Chamber of Commerce Economic Advisory Council, and previously served as chair of the council. He is also a member of the National Association for Business Economics, and previously served two terms as president of the San Francisco Bay Area chapter. Sheldon earned his doctorate in economics at the University of Florida.
